What do parents say about Into The Woods Nature Preschool?
My son attended in 2020 for two years and absolutely loved it. He asks on a regular basis if he can go back to that school, but unfortunately he's now too old. Thankfully he's able to attend the summer camps that Thea puts on.
The school is a safe, fun environment that will take you back to your own childhood. Memories of days playing outside with friends, before all this technology was available. This is exactly the "Into the Woods Nature School" experience that your little one will get. No technology, no toys! (Unless they are making toys with supplies found in that environment).
Your child will use their imagination to learn through play whilst learning about safety outdoors. They will be aware of plants that are safe and those to avoid; bugs and small animals that can be carefully handled and those to walk away from.
Thea is amazing and we are so lucky that she had space available for our son to attend. I very much appreciate all that Thea did to help him grow and learn.
If you have the opportunity, then I would highly recommend this introduction to learning before your child becomes of age to attend elementary school.

My boys enjoyed playing outside, but after their time with Miss Thea at Into the Woods, they truly fell in love with being outdoors. Miss Thea encouraged their natural curiosity and helped foster a love and true appreciation for nature.
We were able to send our children there for three years total, and it was one of the best experiences for our kids. They would come home after their time at nature school excited (and tired in a good way). They could hardly wait for the next time they would go.
Miss Thea is one of the most kind, gentle, and patient people you will ever meet. She warmly welcomes your child into her life, not just her school. It was so special to see my children light up when they saw her each time they went to school. We are so thankful for the time we had at Into the Woods. Miss Thea forever holds a special place in our hearts.
Even though they've grown past the age of being able to attend Nature Preschool, my two boys will truly never forget their time there. Nor will their love for nature or exploring outside ever get old.

My 2 boys had the most amazing experience at Thea's outdoor school! She taught them confidence and the importance and respect to be found in nature. The boys left that school with a strong sense of adventure and confidence that got them off to a great start in grade school. She is gentle, mild mannered but firm. She allows them to explore at their own pace and always challenges them to be creative! We need more teachers like this in the world!
